Men’s Voices is a multimedia art exhibition curated by Sound Artist Rupert Philbrick, Performance Poet Chris Robinson & Visual Artist Pollyanna Turner, featuring artwork created with – and inspired by – men and boys from: Deerbolt Young Offenders Institution; Barnardo’s Domestic Violence Perpetrator Programme; The Woodlands Pupil Referral Unit; Eldon Lane Men’s Cree & Stanley Men’s Cree.

*Please note, this event is at our new venue TESTT Space, not Empty Shop HQ

We are very grateful to all of the men, boys, group leaders, teachers & organisations who worked with our artists, creatively exploring what it means to be a man in the making of this exhibition. Thanks are also due to doctoral researcher Stephen Burrell of Durham University‘s Centre for Research into Violence & Abuse (Criva), who served as our project mentor.

The exhibition is open every day from 12-4pm. You don’t need to book if it’s just you and a few friends/family members.

If you work with men and / or boys, however, and would like to arrange a group visit where you are looked after by our Project Coordinator or one of the artists who can tell you a little bit more about the thinking behind the work, click here to book a slot during our exhibition week and make sure we have time to give you our full attention.
