The Workspace /

[col2]The Workspace is our largest room, situated on the first floor of Empty Shop HQ. This room serves the function of being our main exhibition space during the handful of shows we have each year but the rest of the time it is a usable resource for the community. That means for the majority of the year it can be hired out for a variety of uses, these could include:

Private exhibitions
A space to create work
A venue for classes and workshops
Somewhere to try out work in an exhibition environment
A space to build large scale sculpture
A venue for theatrical rehearsals and small private performances

These are just a few examples of the creative ways our workspace could be put to use by you.

The room is approximately 15ft wide x 28ft long with two large bay window areas and beautiful 10ft high ceilings.

Cost
To hire the room costs £25 for half a day and £50 for a full day. The day is split into the following sections:

Day: 11am – 5pm
Evening: 5pm – 11pm[/note_box]

As always, we are flexible here at Empty Shop so for block bookings or longer sessions please contact us as we can negotiate these on a case by case basis.

How to book

To book please contact us at thefolks@emptyshop.org specifying your date, and if you would like a full day or half day (for half day bookings specify day or evening)

Bookings are taken on a first come first served basis and in order to guarantee your space a non refundable deposit is required. This is £10 for half a day or £20 for a full day. The remainder of the balance needs to be paid on the day.

Deposits can be made in person by arranging a visit to Empty Shop HQ or by using PayPal online – This will be arranged at time of booking.
