Or HQ Renovation Update Number 2

While Carlo and Freebird Ste have been discussing utopian ideals, myself and Freebird James have been on our hands and knees getting the venue up to scratch for welcoming you all on the 19th.

Work feels as though it’s been going slow this last week because what we’ve been doing has involved returning to tasks on daily basis that we’ve already spent time on. It’s been something of a thankless task but today we’ve made real progress floors and walls wise and hopefully work can commence next week on the cosmetic stuff that’s going to make Empty Shop HQ feel like home. The first thing Carlo and myself set out to achieve at the beginning of all of this, day one, page one, was to provide a gallery space that was totally different from the sterile, institutional environments you find in most galleries. Creating venues that are fun and welcoming for people to come and view art in is the achievement we’re most proud of. Hopefully that’s exactly what you’ll find with Empty Shop HQ.

I’ll wrap this up now but very quickly I just wanted to give a shout out to everyone who has helped us out in some way so far.
