That’s right people, FreeBird Ste of 50ft_Long Horse and myself, along with two new friends Norbert and Julia, are holding a newly devised mini conference in the lobby of the House of World Cultures in Berlin where Transmediale 10 is being held.

We have been attending the Salon workshops over the past few days and some really interesting strands of debate have come up and a few like minded people have decided to set up a casual hands on discussion group to brainstorm utopian ideas and why ideal solutions are not being seriously worked on; it will hopefully span a few different areas but challenging ideas like ‘why do creative business models have to fit in with current economic structures’ should be high up on the list.

Norbert Schmidt is a student and freelance cultural manager who has some great forward thinking ideas and rightly believes that if there is place where we can discuss these ideal world solutions surely it’s Futurity Now.

Julia Kaganskiy is currently doing an internship at MoMA and has been running arts, culture and technology meet up group for a year. She brought up some very relevant questions about how to grow your idea without compromising yourself or your ethos.

The discussion, which will be like a giant communal brainstorm,  should be very interesting and everyone is welcome.

It will take place at 5pm today if anyone is in Berlin and wants to join in.
