Empty Shop is now taking submissions for the fourth annual open exhibition.

Established in 2009 The Empty Shop Open is a new tradition for the North East art scene and our flagship event.

Taking place on Friday 27^th January the show provides an opportunity for all artists based in the area to present work of any media in a totally independent, high profile exhibition in Durham city.

As ever, there is no brief or specification regarding what can be submitted, we simply ask for a maximum of three images per artist and that you are currently based in the region.

All submissions can be sent to exhibitions@emptyshop.org no later than Friday 13^th January 2012. The final selection will be made by a panel led by Empty Shop Directors Carlo and Nick. All selected artists will be notified by email on Monday 16^th January. There is no submission fee and no fee will be paid for selected work. Artists are responsible for delivery of all pieces to the premises by Monday 23^rd of January at the latest.
