As you’ll have seen from Carlo’s post work has begun on the Empty Shop HQ renovation! Exciting times indeed.

While Carlo, myself and the other freebirds are working on the venue it occurred to us that the main 3 materials we’re likely to be using are Time, People and Paint. With this in mind we thought we’d make a general appeal for all three.

So if you have any old white gloss or emulsion hanging around that you don’t think you’ll use why not donate it to your local unfunded and completely independent art gallery, Empty Shop? We’ll only do good things with it we promise…

While you’re on dropping paint off for us we thought you might like to donate some time and your own body to the cause. Once again, we’ll only do good (and perfectly decent) things with both, we promise…

Seriously though, if anyone would like to gain some voluntary gallery renovation and installation experience over the next three weeks get in touch with your availability. We can’t guarantee we’ll be able to fit you into our plans but we can guarantee we’ll love you forever.
