This Friday see the 2nd exhibition to be held in The Stairwell Gallery. ‘Pandorum: The Persistence of Memory’ is a site specific instillation piece by Cardiff based artist Spike Dennis.

Visitors to the gallery will have no option but to engage with the work should they wish to enter the space to view it. Spike’s practice draws on an array of, often contradictory, sources of inspiration such as the natural landscape and the bright lights of the urban environment, in which he dwells, as well as experiences and distorted memories of time and place.

The Stairwell Gallery is situated in the entranceway of Empty Shop HQ meaning all visitors will have to pass through the exhibition to access the building. There will be an intimate private view on Saturday 25th September from 7pm -10pm.

The work will remain in place for a number of months and will be replaced in the New Year following a further callout for applicants to exhibit in The Stairwell Gallery.
