Working in association with the Jazz Co-Op in Newcastle and following a successful run of taster sessions, we are excited to announce that The Jazz Sessions will continue on the first Thursday of every month.

This jazz duo will be performing a mixture of original compositions and contemporary and classic jazz standards.

Including tunes by Pat Metheny, John Scofield and Charlie Haden.

ESHOP Poster NEWWith projections from the Grubb Parsons collection of images, courtesy of the Tyne & Wear Arvhives & Museums. Grubb Parsons were a telescope manufacturer formerly based on Tyneside. Yellow Creatures have collaborated with the Archives to use some of these fantastic images for their latest EP ‘The Year of Everything & Nothing’ and as part of their stage show.

The Glass Lantern Slides to be shown are taken from a large collection that documents the work of Grubb Parsons Ltd at their workshop in Walkergate, Newcastle upon Tyne. It was here that Grubb Parsons Ltd manufactured Telescopic and Astronomical equipment for companies and observatories world wide. Their equipment was designed and built for use and research across the Globe, to name only a few of these locations Grubb Parsons Ltd supplied to the UK, Switzerland, Denmark, Egypt, South Africa, Greece, Australia, Japan, India, Hawaii, Poland, Chile, Canada, France and Spain.

Exhibition: Brucey – Interstellar Shenanigans @ Empty Shop HQ

Ahead of his next international exhibition in California we are excited to present a solo exhibition by Brucey. A prolific Low Brow artist, Brucey will take over HQ for one evening of Interstellar Shenanigans.

9th A3 webBrucey spends his time creating Monochrome mayhem, colourless characters and pop culture mash ups all illustrated by hand onto a variety of surfaces including: MDF, cardboard, plywood, cars, fridges, walls, windows, shoes, sculptures and occasionally paper.

His distinctive black and white style is instantly recognisable and has become a fixture in the Low Brow art scene both Nationally and internationally

With an ever increasing profile his work is highly collectable and pieces will be available to buy.
